On 19th June, we visited “Shakti New Zealand – Shakti women's refuge”. They have been supporting victims from domestic violence for 18 years.
Two counsellors who worked there from the beginning welcomed us and talked with us for two hours. The counsellors were Shila Nair & Julie Goodall. We really appreciated their supports and stories they shared with us.
We strongly believe that Shakti is the best model for us to follow. We will keep in touch with them and seek advice whenever we need.
